A Snowy Winter Engagement Session at Ault Park | Molli + Hunter

Snow has a way of making everything feel a little more magical—how it absorbs sound to keep the atmosphere quiet and still, and the way the light sparkles on the surface. That magic was in full force during Hunter and Molli’s winter engagement session at Ault Park in Cincinnati, OH. The ground was blanketed in deep snow, the air was crisp, and as the sun dipped low, the whole park glowed. Cold? Absolutely. But these two brought enough warmth to make it feel like the coziest winter evening.

Hunter and Molli knew from the start that they wanted a winter session, and they were all in on waiting for the right moment. We kept an eye on the weather, watching for the perfect snowy day to bring their vision to life. Ault Park looked straight out of a winter dream, with the snowy ground, stately architecture, and snow-coated trees creating a moody, dramatic backdrop. It was the kind of setting that made every moment feel even more cinematic.

We first met Hunter and Molli last fall during a family session with Molly’s crew. Even then, it was clear that Hunter was already part of the family. So when they reached out to schedule their engagement session, it felt like the most natural next step. Their love is effortless—sweet and affectionate, full of laughter and little moments that make it clear they’re meant for each other.

With full creative control, we got to capture the many sides of their relationship—the quiet, intimate moments and the goofy, playful ones. Their dog, Cosmo, joined in for the fun, adding an extra layer of energy (and a few hilarious mid-snow romp moments). Hunter and Molli kept it casual with blue jeans and a mix of neutrals and black—perfect for standing out against the bright snow. And their matching silver engagement rings, each with a diamond, reflected the winter light beautifully.

Hunter and Molli’s engagement session wouldn’t have been a proper snowy session without a snowball fight! So that is exactly how we ended the session—they were a little shy at first, but once the first snowball flew, their faces lit up and soon the park echoed with laughter.
